HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIMBER!!

Ok, so for those of you who don't know, Timber is Tom Felton's dog and it just so happens that today is her birthday. As I was on here I'd thought I'd mention it. Go check out feltbeats.com to see the video that was made for the day.

R.I.P. Common Sense

So basically, this was in The Times Obituary:

'Interesitng and sadly rather true...

'Today we mourn the pasing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to detoriate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regualtions were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an Aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assualt.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realise that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parent, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibilty; and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers: I Know My Rights, I Want It Now, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim.

Not many atteneded his funeral because so few realised he was gone'

If you still remember him, pass this on. If not join the majority and do nothing.'

My 1st Vlog

Yesterday, for the first time I did a vlog. I thought I'd post it on my blog so that other people could see it as well.

Tracoworld

Tracoworld is a new site I created last week as a fansite for Tom Felton and Draco Malfoy. It's still in production but a lot of the pages are up and running with more on the way. Tracoworld is the sister site to the tracoworld myspace page (which I co-manage). So please go and check it out.

Emma of Lulworth Cove

Emma of Lulworth Cove is Tom Felton's latest movie but it needs your help to get funding before it can be filmed in November. I believe, it is being filmed in Dorset in the Lulworth Cove area, so I am seriously over-excited about this.
To help out, you need to drive traffic to the Emma of Lulworth Cove IMDB page to show potential investors that it is safe to put up the money for it. This is a campaign started by feltbeats.com and all you need to is click on the button below:
I support Emma of Lulworth Cove!

I found this on myspace and thought I'd try it out. The first one is brilliant - a bit of a juxtaposition with the old and the young.

The Disappeared

OK, so I thought I'd update again because I'm pissed off to put it lightly. See, there's this film that I really want to go see called The Disappeared, starring Tom Felton (that's Draco Malfoy for all you Harry Potter fans out there) amongst others. It's not a mainstream film with a massive release but it is being shown to the UK public for the first time on the 25th August in London as part of Frightfest. It doesn't appear to have a general release date yet. It is one of two movies that I have to see this year, even if I see no others - the other movie is Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. 3 guesses as to why!!

My parents won't let me go because it's in London and plus it's an 18. An 18, that pissed me off when I found that out; despite already guessing it would be. By the 25th, I'll almost be 18 anyway, so it's hardly going to matter if I see it and anyway, I saw Sweeney Todd and the beginning of the year and I was further away from being 18 than I am now. As for the London part, I was in London with just my mate back in February, and I was deemed mature enough then so what is the BFD now??! I haven't got less mature over the last 6 months, just more obsessed.

My parents just don't understand. My mum used it as a bitching platform and told me to look for a job. Huh??! What's a job got to do with it - I want to see a film, not be amongst the great employed, and I do have money so I could pay to get myself up to London for a day. I swear, if I did every single thing she wants me to do this summer, she still wouldn't let me go. As for my dad, he heard it was an 18 and said no and wouldn't listen to my Sweeney argument, telling me that if it was the same film I was talking about the other day (can't remember but it probably was) then once more no, and he shouldn't have made me the cup of tea I was drinking if I was going to complain. Once more, huh?

So, to demonstrate to the parents that I am of the maturity level they think, and to prove I am an adult, I am going to the very mature and adultlike response, and SULK!! Yes, this 17 year old is going to act 7 and sulk, and while I am doing it I will piss them off by having Harry Potter marathons (plus Anna and the King, which my mum doesn't like as much as the King and I) and only listening to Feltbeats, which will eventually annoy them as there's only 11 songs and played repeatedly for the next few weeks, will irritate them, especially my dad. All I can say is, should have let me go.

Strangely, I feel slightly better now I have 'contstructively' vented my anger rather than ranted about it to myself. Hopefully, I'll be able to get some sleep now (it's 23:59), and tomorrow (or by the time this is posted, today) I can reread and get a good laugh out of it.
Anyway, take care people!

London

Hey, I'm keeping it up to date, sort of.

I've just been up to London for a few days, well 5 to be precise & I had a great time. I went up with one of my mates & stayed at her Nan's house which was cool. It was something I'd never done before as all of my grandparents had died by the time I was 11 so I never had a chance to stay with them. We went to lots of cool places such as the London Eye, Madame Tussaurds, the Tate Modern & Abbey Road. As well as shopping in Harrods & Hamleys not to mention all the other shops in between. We also got to experience the tube stations during rush hour when we had spent too long going shopping.

All in all I had a great time but now I have a backlog of homework to do.

Peace, Jonesy

It's 2008!!

The New Year is upon us and this is the first blog post of 2008! That means that it is getting ever closer to exams. Oh well. They're important & yes I want to do well but who thought of putting importnat exams within the first two weeks that we come back to school after the Christmas holidays. This is probably the busiest holiday throughout the whole year what with Christmas and the New Year; it doesn't leave much time for revising. What's not helping is that I'm finding it really difficult to get an economics revision guide that does what I need - on amazon the one I want is out of stock & Smith's don't stock any at all, ever. I suppose I'll cope - I have to otherwise I will fail and then I'll have to retake them in June which I don't want to do.

Um, not much else to say.
