London

Hey, I'm keeping it up to date, sort of.

I've just been up to London for a few days, well 5 to be precise & I had a great time. I went up with one of my mates & stayed at her Nan's house which was cool. It was something I'd never done before as all of my grandparents had died by the time I was 11 so I never had a chance to stay with them. We went to lots of cool places such as the London Eye, Madame Tussaurds, the Tate Modern & Abbey Road. As well as shopping in Harrods & Hamleys not to mention all the other shops in between. We also got to experience the tube stations during rush hour when we had spent too long going shopping.

All in all I had a great time but now I have a backlog of homework to do.

It's 2008!!

The New Year is upon us and this is the first blog post of 2008! That means that it is getting ever closer to exams. Oh well. They're important & yes I want to do well but who thought of putting importnat exams within the first two weeks that we come back to school after the Christmas holidays. This is probably the busiest holiday throughout the whole year what with Christmas and the New Year; it doesn't leave much time for revising. What's not helping is that I'm finding it really difficult to get an economics revision guide that does what I need - on amazon the one I want is out of stock & Smith's don't stock any at all, ever. I suppose I'll cope - I have to otherwise I will fail and then I'll have to retake them in June which I don't want to do.

Um, not much else to say.

Christmas

I have a pre-new years resolution. I am determined to keep this up, rather than leave it for several months before posting something new.

I've been thinking quite a bit recently. On Sunday, the BBC had a Top Gear evening and I watched Richard Hammond meets Evil Knievel. It was really moving because Evil still believed that he was Evil Knieval, despite being a frail old man, which made it harder for him to open up on his path but when Richard asked if him if he still dreams and plans jumps he said that he didn't because that part of his life was over. That was quite sad because he had no dreams left, even if he was near the end of his life (it was shot in the summer, and Evil died on the 30th November 2007). I hope that when I am older I will still have dreams even if I can't ever acomplish them. What was more moving was that towards the end of the documentary, Evil asked Richard to visit his headstone which he did. On it was a list of word to live for which included work, education, life etc. but the last word was dreams and I found it quite sad that a man who no longer had any dreams said that they were to live for.

Anyway, enough ramblings from my mind - it's CHRISTMAS! I know I probably shouldn't be writing this today but tough; I'm waiting for the turkey which I swear always takes longer than the extra time that has already been allowed. I'd better go now.

Merry Christmas

OMG!

OMG! I almost forgot this thing actually existed! I have been so busy since October with coursework (especially textiles) and exams that I haven't had time to write.

I haven't actually got that much time now but I will give you a very brief update now and add a more detailed account later.

A quick note on the Bishop's Award situation. I retook the exam in February and I passed by 8 marks (which is better than failing by 3) which means that I have now gained the award that I have also wanted. Yipee!

Anyway, I need to go now as I ought to be in bed as I have to get up tomorrow to revise. Yay!

Failure

How many of you reaing his post have failed at something in your life? Whether it is an important exam (music/educational) or a dream, failure is something which can (and probably will) affect each of us at some point in our lives. For me, that was in fact just last week and I happened to fail both of the above examples. Ever since I joined our local church choir (almost 8 years ago) I have had an ambition to succeed in gaining the Bishop's Award (which is an RSCM silver award eqivilant). I already have the Dean's Award (the level below which you now need before you take the Bishop's Award) and so I took the exam this October for the Bishop's. If I am perfectly honest, I wasn't truly ready as I wasn't secure on the high notes (or any of the notes for that matter) and so becuase I wasn't happy with them my diction went as well. So, you've guessed it - I failed. Except it was by three marks! That's what made it so upsetting for me, it was 3 measly marks that would've been so easy to have got but nevermind. I am going to retake the exam in (hopefully) February next year and I will get a merit!!!
I hope.........

Then in textiles I got told that the latest we would be starting the pratical is in 2 weeks time. I am nowhere ner that! So all in all it was a very stressful first day back but nevermind - it can only get worse.
Not much else happened.

Holidays!

Woah! I can't believe that I have 1 week left before I have to go back to school and enter year 11. Dun dun dun!! That means that by this time next year I will have my GCSE results. Help. Anyways, enough about the future. I've just come back from Greenbelt which is a christian festival in Cheltnam where I saw Daniel Beddingfield! Before that I had spent 10 days in Perranporth, Cornwall - again for the 12th year running. I love it there and everyone is great so 10 days really goes quickly. When I left I couldn't believe it, it still felt like the first day. It was wierd but cool. I haven't done much this summer holidays really because I had done so much work righ up until I had broken up but never mind. All in all I've had a great summer.

Keep Safe,

Sorry!

Sorry I haven't been writing since my first post but I have been so busy with my coursework and stuff that I just haven't had time but now the summer's here (at last, I'd thought it's never come) I have more time so I should update my blog a bit more often.
Yesterday I wentto the Sound music festival in Verwood and it totally rocked - it was brilliant and I got to see all my mates again before we all start going on holiday so that made it even better. All the bands we saw were brilliant as well.

My first post!!!!!

Yay! My first blog and my first post in my first blog. wow. *dwells in own thoughts for several moments* I owe this all to Bobeth because if it wasn't for her then I wouldn't be writing this on my own blog. *dwells in own thoughs for several moments... again*
Anyways, today hasn't been that interesting really school was averagly normal (apart from Bob and Evil not talking to each other). Drama was probably the most fun thing I did today and I spent most of it off stage waiting for my cue to come on - it sucks playing the lead role sometimes. When I go off again I have to put on a thick and humungous fur coat (it's summer for God's sake) and a beard which does not fit me, how embarrasing! I was only given the part two weeks ago but I already know all my lines and my cue lines, when no-one else has (and they've all had since Easter to learn them). Woooo! Go me! Sorry, got a bit too excited there.
Oh well there's not much more to say now so I'll just diappear for now and I'll try and write soon except I have a ton of coursework to do... that remonds me...
Bye
